[I Dream In Retro]

hmmm...

the ending was a bit confusing you started out with a live action character and then ended with a 2d character. I am not sure if that was your intent, but I kept watching the scene waiting for the live action to come back. At first i thought maybe it would fade into the live action character but it just ended. If I was to suggest any thing for your future animations it would have to be (stay constant with your story line. If you want to have a 2d character then do it all the way through.) other than that i really liked catching the references through out the animation. good work over all.

I can understand your confusion and I'll try to make sense of why I ended like that. This was intended to be 1 part of a series that was slightly derailed by some fun projects. I was originally going to end with another live action shot but decided it felt to final. I wanted to save a closing real world shot for what will be the last episode, provided I get that far. To me it just felt better to end in game and begin the next ep with Live shots again. Gotta get a better camera for this next one though.

great animation but can be improved

That was very beautifully animated. But it really lacks in story. I think you could have gone so much deeper into character development and a bit of explanation to why they want the boy. perhaps he sees a creature in a cage that resembles a child but thinks nothing of it. other than that I really liked your style and animation.

Really this animation pulls on the heart strings of the people, that through out there lives felt that there was more then this world has to offer. It is a feeling that most of us have felt, and to capture this feeling in animation and storytelling really means something. ya the story might have been done before but hasn't every emotion??? drama is a lot harder to capture in a short than humor, so for that I give you a 10/10. great work

It was ok

you really must do some thing about your audio. The music was not at the same level as your recorded voice. If you have any audio editing software I would fix the gain and normalize the voice with the music audio so you don't have bouncing levels. Also I agree that you need a better recording device, you are loosing too much quality. The animation was in need of a little bit of work. Your character was loosing design through out the animation. (different body types and the face changed slightly as well.) the story and music written was really cool though. I hope this was helpful

The end is really worth the wait. I like how you also paid close attention to details while you were animating. it really brought the girl to life. great work! if you wanted any advice I would have to say watch line weights and character to character ratios. ;)

its a good start but it isn't finished. If you clean up the line work a bit you've really got some thing here. good work :)
